What is Pas de Deux Diplomacy?

Movement is a broad concept. It consists not just of everyday movements, but also of intricate dances that showcase powerful emotions and tell fascinating stories. The universal ability of dance allows it to become a form of non-verbal dialogue. It transcends generations, borders, and verbal communication, allowing performers to reach an understanding with their beholders.

Pas de deux (steps of two, a duet traditionally performed in classical ballet) diplomacy is an exploration of how nations perform their own duets, using cultural diaspora and soft powers to spread their ideals, facilitating a form of diplomacy that fosters understanding between nations, beyond diplomacy in the traditional sense.

In each post, I will explore, through personal experience and historical events, how a universal language of emotions and expressions connects us all to each other.
